Nikita Anand

Nikita Anand, a new name in the glamour industry, is an Indian model based in Punjab. She was born in Jalandar , Punjab in the year 1983. Owing to the frequent transfers of his father who is a doctor in the Indian Army, she had to study in different schools- St. Mary’s, Pune; Bishop Cottons, Ranchi; Cathedral & John Cannon, Mumbai, NIFT, Delhi. At a tender age 13, Nikita was crowned Miss Ranchi. She is a perfect combination of traditionalism with modernity.

This 5’8 beauty believes that staying firmly to the roots is the real challenge. She has remained the host of the popular car race show on Zee Sports called ‘NASCAR’. She was a student of I.T at NIFT, where the walked the ramp for NIFT Shaw Wallace and Burlingtons. She was the runner up in the contest of May Queen Pageant in Northern India, which was won by Shonali Nagrani. Nikita has featured in the inaugural issue of ‘V.Rebel’.

She has done a course in the Trinity School of Speech and Dramas; the course has the duration of three years. This diehard fan of Shahrukh has been a ramp model and a fashion designer when she took part in the Miss India contest for 2003.

Nikita became the Femina Miss India-Universe in 2003 by taking over the title from Neha Dhupia. She represented India in the Miss Universe Pageant. She has also won the ‘Face Hunt Model’ title in Delhi, 20003. This trained singer has already starred in the film ‘’Dil Dosti etc.’, directed by Manish Tiwary.

Arshad Warsi : the ‘Circuit’. He is unassuming, simple, and does not possess the typical quality of an Indian actor. Yet Arshad Warsi has been able to execute and add colour and vibrance to simple roles through sheer talent and brilliance.

Born on 19th April 1968 Arshad Warsi became an orphan at the age of fourteen. He had a keen interest in dance and later started a dancing school of his own. Arshad got his first break in Amitabh Bachchans production, Tere Mere Sapne. Like his debut his forthcoming films failed to create an impact on the audience. Arshads career seemed to be fading away and what he needed was a successful movie to create a firm ground in Bollywood.

It was only with Munna Bhai MBBS that Arshad came into the limelight. It was the best come back movie that one could have dreamt of. With his brilliant performance in Munna Bhai as Circiut, Arshad has created a special place in the heart of his audiences and also this industry. The simple, light hearted, amusing “circuit” is going to stay alive in the minds of his fans for a long period of time. To Bollywood one more name has been added to the list of great comedians. But Arshad Warsi possesses the additional art of making his characters so lovable, acceptable and endearing.

Here’s hoping that he reaches the zenith of his acting career, till then his fans shall eagerly wait for Arshad to recreate his magic in Munna Bhai Chale America.

Roshan Ahuja popularly known as Shiney Ahuja is considered to be one the upcoming stars of Bollywood. He was born on 15th May, 1973 and is the son of an army commander. His birth place is Delhi. Since his father was in the defense forces, he had the ambition of becoming an armed officer. But he became an actor and definitely a popular one. He was attracted in theatre and got the opportunity to join Barry John’s acting school in Delh before which he had studied in the Army Public School, Dhaula Kaun, New Delhi. Shiney had done modeling and appeared in many commercials before he actually set foot in the Bollywood circuit. Shiney Ahuja has even appeared in a music video for the band Stereo Nation.

It was with the film ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ that Shiney Ahuja made his debut. The film was directed by the much acclaimed director Sudhir Mishra and had Chitrangada Singh and Kay Kay Menon in the lead. This movie was highly appreciated critically and Shiney also received praises for his performance. This movie was shown at very various film festivals in 2003 and was released in theatres in 2005. The film was viewed as one of the best films of the year and also fetched Shiney the ‘Filmfare Best Male Debut’ award. Shiney started acting in the mainstream films with the movie ‘Karam’ in 2005. He starred together with John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. The film ‘Gangster’ directed by Mahesh Bhatt made Shiney Ahuja very much popular. The other noted films of Shiney are; ‘Woh Lamhe’; ‘Life In A….Metro’; and ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’.

Sharman Joshi: from STYLE to RDB. Sharman Joshi is an upcoming Indian actor and also a theatre personality. He made his debut in the year 1999 in the movie ‘Godmother’ as the troubled son of the protagonist, Shabana Azmi. Sharman received rave reviews for his performance Though Sharman is best known for his Hindi movies, he has appeared or worked in various English, Hindi, Gujarati stage productions. In the comedy movie ‘Style’ of 2001, Sharman had appeared. This movie became a surprise hit of the year. The movie was directed by N. Chandra and mostly had newcomers. Sharman was very active during his theatre and drama days. He has done over 330 shows since childhood and the most memorable is; ‘Aame Layee Gaya Tame Rahee Gaya’. The renowned theatre writer-actor Arvind Joshi is his father. He has done a small role in the film ‘Lajja’.

It was with the movie ‘Rang De Basanti’ that Sharman Joshi rose to the highest peak of his career, this multi-starrer movie brought instant fame for Sharman Joshi. This Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra film proved to be the biggest hit of all times. Shaman shared his screen with versatile actors like Aamir Khan and Atul Kulkarni. Raima Sen – The sexy siren. This 1979 born Indian actress is the grand daughter of the much acclaimed and legendary actress of yester years of Tollywood, Suchitra Sen and daughter of the popular actress Moonmoon Sen. Her first movie was ‘Godmother’ which was released in 1999. The film was directed by Vinay Shukla and had the national award winning actress Shabana Azmi in the lead and portraying the title role. This movie was critically acclaimed.

In ‘Daman’ in 2001, Raima Sen appeared as Raveena’s daughter. She had a small but important role in this film and was highly appreciated. The film ‘Choker Bali’, directed by the famous film maker Rituparno Ghosh came as breakthrough for Raima and opened the door for more opportunities in films. Raima Sen was praised for her simple and submissive role as ‘Ashalata’ in the movie.
