The once Mr. India: Anil kapoor !
Anil Kapoor is a prominent Bollywood actor who has been entertaining the audiences for many decades. This popular and talented actor of the Indian cinema started his career of acting in films with the film ‘Hamara Tumhare’ which came in 1979. The movie was directed by Umesh Mehra and here he had a supporting role. The movie where Anil played hid first leading role was in a Kannada film ‘Pallavi Anu Pallavi’ that came in the year 1983. In Yash Chopra’s ‘Mashaal’ in 1984, Anil Kapoor played a very significant role for which he won acclaim. This film fetched his first award ‘Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award’.

The 1987 release of the sci-fi film ‘Mr. India’ which was directed by Shekahr Kapur got him more recognition. Anil kapoor won his first ever ‘Filmfare’ award for best actor for the movie ‘Tezzab’ which was released in the year 1988. The other film for which he won his second ‘Filmfare Best Actor Award’ was for Indra Kumar’s ‘Beta’. In both these films he was paired opposite Madhuri Dixit. Anil has a perfect comic timing and his comic role in films like ‘No Entry’, ‘Biwi No.1’ are most noteworthy. He has even won the National Award for best actor for his wonderful performance in the movie ‘Pukar’. Anil has been a producer of a number of films which include ‘Badhaai Ho Baadhai’ , ‘My Wife’s Murder’ and ‘Gandhi, My Father’. This last mentioned film dealt with the relationship between Mahatma Gandhi and his eldest son Hiralal Gnadhi.
