One two three movie review

‘One, two, three’, a mindless comedy is the latest to offer by the director Ashwini Dheer. The movie stars Suniel Shetty, Tusshar Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in the lead and the supporting cast include Esha Deol, Sameera Reddy, Tanisha, Upen Patel and few others. The film is a story of mistaken identity of three men having the same name ‘Laxmi Narayan’ and also a hunt for 20 crores worth diamonds. The film also has a mindless plot and is very poorly directed; the least said about the story the better. Surely you will need to leave your brains back at home if you want to watch this so called slapstick comedy.

The combination of the not so funny one liner with the senseless story makes the movie a terrible and also a pathetic watch. The direction is below average and so are the screenplay and the cinematography. The music of ‘One Two Three’ is probably the worst in the recent years. All the songs are forgettable; the only solace is the title track. The dialogues are clichéd and do not make us laugh, though there are some exceptions. Performance wise, only Tussar Kapoor as the wannabe don is only palatable. Suniel Shetty gives a good performance while Paresh Rawal does not need to appear in a film like this, his talent is wasted. The girls do a poor job and so does Upen Patel although Sanjay Mishra does a fairly good job. My advice would, put on the television and watch ‘Comedy ka Badshah’, you will have a better laugh.

Amitabh in Chote Ustad

Amitabh Bachchan in Chote Ustad.
These days it has become a fashion for the film stars to come in the reality shows for the publicity of their forthcoming films. With every reality shows popping out of the TV channels every day or the other, the film stars are choosing them as the best platform for publicity. Today all the stars in some way or other take part in the entire publicity of the film. Although this is one of the motives for these stars to flock the reality shows, but we should also not undermine the fact that reality television throws up a lot of surprises and these stars love encouraging the people.

The latest from Bollywood to join this league is our very own Amitabh Bachchan. This veteran living legend of Bollywood came for the promo shoot of the ‘Chote Ustaad’ comes on star plus and is in the final stages. It is said that Amitabh Bachchan was in an excellent mood when he was shooting with Aishwarya Majmudar and Anwesha Dattagupta, who are left for fighting for the crown and even joked with them. Both the finalists of the reality show were congratulated by the versatile actor. Amitabh Bachchan has wished them luck. Amitabh Bachchan will also be present at the grand finale of the ‘Chote Ustaad’ which will be telecasted on Star Plus on Saturday, April 5th from 8th onwards. Here he will also be promoting B.R. Chopra’s ‘Bhootnaath’, his forthcoming release for 2008.

Sunday movie review

Inspired by a south-Indian hit Anukokunda Oka Roju, ‘Sunday’ is a pack full of scenes combined together for hilarious harmony. The movie begins with a girl being murdered and her body is found floating on the backwaters which is first found by another. The police lodge a FIR. The leading lady of the film Ayesha Takia or Sehar is a bad memory-dubbing artist. A gang of goons follows her for reasons not known to her. Sehar is full of confusion for all these strange things that keep happening in her life. In a fit to find her missing Sunday, Sehar is violently attacked and it is the cop Ajay Devgan who takes the case of sorting out all problems from Sehar’s life.

In the process of solving the puzzle, Ajay comes across a murder case where Sehar is supposed to be the culprit. But as is the problem of bad memory, Sehar is unable to remember anything. This is basically the story of ‘Sunday’. It could have been interesting to find out whether Sehar is pretending or not and whether she is a serial killer at night and a dubbing artist in the morning. But it is not at all interesting, more because of the poor direction and also awful editing. The constant shifting from being a mystery to a comedy makes the movie a painful watch. The meaningless stretched climax ads to its disaster. Performance wise, Ajay is not up his standard, Ayesha acted well, and Arshad and Irfan were decent. Nothing but the dialogues come as the only relief in the film.

Hindi Movie: Black and White

Hindi Movie: Black and White review

The director of larger than life movies like ‘Pardes’, ‘Taal’, ‘Kisna’, ‘Yaadein’ and many more has offered ‘Black and White’ which is surely different from his earlier ones. The story has a character Rajan Mathur played by Anil Kapoor who is a professor and his wife Roma, played by Shefali Shah is an activist live in Delhi. It is a boy named Numair Qazi who introduces himself as a victim of the Gujarat riot is given shelter in their house by the couple. They come close to this boy and they are totally unaware of the fact that the boy or Numair is actually a suicide bomber who is commissioned by a Muslim fundamentalist group. He has been assigned to make a blast near Red Ford on Independence Day.

Filmmaker, Subhas Ghai has given this movie an excellent feel with his amazing direction. The film has a well-crafted plot and as far the cinematography goes, Somak Mukherjee has done a fair enough job in capturing Delhi. The music of the film, which is given by Sukhwinder Shingh, although, is not extra-ordinary but it is not bad as well. Anil Kapoor certainly needs a pat for his excellent execution of Rajan Mathur, Shefali Shah has also portrayed well the character of the activist and has given a strong performance. Habib Tanvir as Numair Qazi has done a commendable job, and Aditi Sharma has also done a decent job. This dramatic-thriller is a courageous step taken by Ghai.

Lets party

Now here is something that most people don’t pay attention to, the types of parties.
A party is defined as a social gathering for celebration and recreation. Usually the term “party” denotes a smaller, personal gathering but often parties are related to and often form part of religious, cultural, and seasonal festivals.

A birthday party is a celebration that occurs to celebrate the birth of the person being honored. Birthday parties are celebrated in many cultures. While a child’s party is usually at home and consists of soft drinks and sweet food as well as savory, adults’ birthday parties in Western countries often take place in bars or nightclubs where a range of alcoholic beverages are consumed.

A dinner party is a formal social gathering at which people eat dinner together, usually in the host’s own home. At the least formal dinner parties, a buffet of food is provided on a table or counter, and the guests choose items from the buffet and eat standing up as they talk and mingle. At the most formal dinner parties, dinner is served at a dining table with place settings. Dinner parties are sometimes preceded by a cocktail party, a social gathering in a living room or bar where guests
drink alcoholic cocktails as they mingle. Women guests may wear cocktail dresses. Cocktail parties are often held as a prelude to a dinner party.

A New Year’s Party is usually hosted in a person’s house on New Year’s Eve to celebrate the changing of the calendar. Many hotels, bars, and restaurants also sponsor New Year’s Parties, and hand out gift bags that include funny hats, streamers, balloons, and noisemakers used before and after the countdown to the new year.

Office parties are social events held by corporations or businesses at the site of the business or in a restaurant or bar. These celebrations can coincide with seasonal holidays (e.g., Christmas) or an important date for the company. Office parties are held because they give employees a chance to interact in a less formal atmosphere, which can boost the morale of the employees.

Now you can enjoy a party knowing what it is.
