Vishal Devgan who is popularly known as Ajay Devgan is a versatile Indian actor who is often referred as the ‘dark horse’ of Bollywood. He began his career of acting in the 90s and soon became a favorite amongst audience and critics. In the beginning of his career he mostly played the role of action hero and his genre of films was also limited to action films. He is considered as the serious actor of the Indian film industry. He has completed his graduation from Mithibai College. His father Veeru Devga was a stunt choreographer and his uncle Anil Devgan is a film director of Bollywood movies.
His first movie was ‘Phool Aur Kante’ paired opposite Madhu, was a surprise hit and won him ‘Filmfare Best Male Debut Award’. He has acted in a number of movies. For the movies ‘Zakahm’ and ‘ The Legend of Bhagat Singh’, Ajay Devgan won two national awards in the best actor category. The movie ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ directed by Sanjay Lila Bhanshali , which starred Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan, won Ajay loads of accolades for his performance. He is appreciated for his performance in the movies like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ , ‘Yuva’, ‘Company’, ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’, ‘Raincoat’ , ‘Omkara’ and many more. In ‘Omkara’, which was the adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Othello’, took Ajay to new heights of success. Ajay has also become a director with the movie ‘U, Me Aur Hum’, which will be released soon. The movie also has his wife, Kajol, the popular actress of Bollywood.
