Abhishek Bachchan: Following his fathers footsteps
Abhishek Bachchan , better known as Junior B is a very versatile actor of the Indian film industry. Abhsihek is the son of the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and the versatile actress Jaya Bachchan. Abhishek was born on February 5, 1976 in Mumbai , India and had attended the Jamnabai Narsee School and Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai. He has also studied in the Aiglon College in Switzerland and has completed his education from Boston University.

Abhishek’s first movie was ‘Refugee’ which was directed by the renowned filmmaker J.P.Dutta, it was also the debut movie of Kareena Kapoor. The movie released in the year 2000 and Abhishek was appreciated for his performance. Then came a bunch of other movies most of which were a failure at the box office.

In 2004, Abhishek delivered his first hit with the movie ‘Yuva’ which was directed by Mani Ratnam and had Rani Mukherjee , Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi and Esha Deol in the lead. In this movie, Abhishek gave a critically acclaimed performance and he earned his first award ‘Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Male’. His other 2004 hits include ‘Dhoom’ where he played the role of a cop. This movie helped to establish himself as one of the leading actors of Bollywood. Abhishek was also part of Mani Ratnam’s stage show ‘Netru, Indru, Naalai’. The movies where he gave commendable performance are ‘Yuva’, ‘Sarkar’ which was directed by Ram Gopal Verma and also had his father Amitabh Bachchan in the lead, ‘Guru’ directed by Mani Ratnam, opposite Aishwarya Rai
