Tusshar Kapoor

Made for the stars: Tusshar Kapoor. This Sagittarian is the son of actor Jeetendra, is famously known as the ‘jumping jack’ of Bollywood. Like his father, Tusshar Kapoor has also joined the big league of Bollywood actors. Tusshar Kapoor was born on November 24, 1976 and has studied at the University of Michigan. His sister Ekta Kapoor is the creative head of Balaji Films, which produces numerous popular soaps that come on Indian television. Tusshar Kapoor made his debut in the year 2001 with the film ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’. He was paired opposite Kareena Kapoor who is also the daughter of yesteryear actors – Randhir Kapoor and Babita Kapoor. The film was huge box office hit and the film earned Tusshar to fetch his first award ‘Filmfare Best Male Debut Award’. He has shared the screen with his father in the thriller ‘Kuch To Hai’ in the year 2003. The film ‘Gayab’ which was released in the year 2004 gave Tusshar criticail acclaim. Under this Prawal Raman’s direction, Tusshar had played the role of a nerd who becomes invisible in the course of the time.

Tusshar Kapoor gave powerful performance in the movie ‘Khakee’ which was released in 2004 and also had Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead. Though the film was moderately successful in the box office , he was highly appreciated b the critics. His other hits which include- ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’, ‘Golmaal’ where he played the role of a mute man, ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ where Tusshar played the role of a gangster. Shamita Shetty

Shamita Shetty Is she the sexier Shetty ? Shamita Shetty, the younger sister of the popular actress Shilpa Shetty, made her debut in Hindi movies in the year of 2000. She was born in a closely-knit traditional family which hails from the bunt community of Mangalore. Shamita was born on 2nd February 1979. This gorgeous Indian actress had attended St. Anthony’s Girls High School in Chembur, India. The college from where she did her graduation was Sydenham College. The movie of 2000 where Shamita made her debut was ‘Mohabbatein’ which was directed by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj banner. The film went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. The movie also starred Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. Shamita Shetty was paired opposite Uday Chopra, which was also his debut film. The film made Shamita very famous and opened the door for more offers.

Shamita Shetty became even more famous after performing for an item song “Sharara Sharara” in the film ‘Mere Yaar Ke Shaadi Hai’, released in 2001. The other film where Shamita has done an item number is ‘Saathiya’, a blockbuster of 2002. Her performance in the ‘Zeher’ opposite Imraan Hashmi earned her lot of adulations. Both Shamita and Silpa has appeared in a film together, the name was ‘Fareb’ and both were paired opposite Manoj Bajpai. Sharman Joshi

Sharman Joshi: from STYLE to RDB. Sharman Joshi is an upcoming Indian actor and also a theatre personality. He made his debut in the year 1999 in the movie ‘Godmother’ as the troubled son of the protagonist, Shabana Azmi. Sharman received rave reviews for his performance Though Sharman is best known for his Hindi movies, he has appeared or worked in various English, Hindi, Gujarati stage productions. In the comedy movie ‘Style’ of 2001, Sharman had appeared. This movie became a surprise hit of the year. The movie was directed by N. Chandra and mostly had newcomers. Sharman was very active during his theatre and drama days. He has done over 330 shows since childhood and the most memorable is; ‘Aame Layee Gaya Tame Rahee Gaya’. The renowned theatre writer-actor Arvind Joshi is his father. He has done a small role in the film ‘Lajja’.

It was with the movie ‘Rang De Basanti’ that Sharman Joshi rose to the highest peak of his career, this multi-starrer movie brought instant fame for Sharman Joshi. This Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra film proved to be the biggest hit of all times. Shaman shared his screen with versatile actors like Aamir Khan and Atul Kulkarni. This movie brought him more offers and also haloed him in earning favorable reviews. His other commendable movies include ; the 2007 release ‘Life In A….Metro’ a super hit movie where Shamran was highly appreciated for his role, ‘Golmaal’, a comedy film. Raima Sen

Raima Sen – The sexy siren. This 1979 born Indian actress is the grand daughter of the much acclaimed and legendary actress of yester years of Tollywood, Suchitra Sen and daughter of the popular actress Moonmoon Sen. Her first movie was ‘Godmother’ which was released in 1999. The film was directed by Vinay Shukla and had the national award winning actress Shabana Azmi in the lead and portraying the title role. This movie was critically acclaimed.

In ‘Daman’ in 2001, Raima Sen appeared as Raveena’s daughter. She had a small but important role in this film and was highly appreciated. The film ‘Choker Bali’, directed by the famous film maker Rituparno Ghosh came as breakthrough for Raima and opened the door for more opportunities in films. Raima Sen was praised for her simple and submissive role as ‘Ashalata’ in the movie. In 2005, Raima got the opportunity to feature in the critically acclaimed hit film ‘Parineeta’, the film was directed by Pradeep Sarkar.

The film starred Vidya Balan in the lead and also Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Neil Mathur

Born on 15th January 1982, this new face of Bollywood is the grandson of the legendary singer Mukhesh and son of noted singer Nitin Mukesh. Neil Nitin Mukesh is also known as Neil Mathur and is an Indian actor. It is said or belived that this good-looking actor has resemblance with a good looking super star of Bollywood. Hrithik Roshan. Neil Nitin had graduated from HR College with a B.Com degree. He had to be focused on his career from a very tender age, at about 12 because of his father’s insistence. With Kishore Namit Kapoor he has done a four-month workshop and also at Anupam Kher’s institute during his summer vacations.
It has been his childhood dream to become an actor. When he was very small, Neil Nitin appeared first in films as a child artiste. This happened during his college days. He did not want to debut with a love story hence he had waited for the perfect offer and ‘Johnny Gaddar’ came to him. Konkona Sen Sharma

Konkona Sen Sharma: The dark Beauty.This daughter of the veteran actress of Bengali films and much acclaimed filmmaker Aparna Sen has made it big in Bollywood. Konkona Sen Sharma was born on 3rd December, 1979 She hails from West Bengal and has done her schooling from Modern High School for Girls in Kolkata She has done her graduation in English from St. Stephens College, New Delhi. It was with the film ‘Mr. and Mrs.’ Iyer’(2002) directed by Aparna Sen, Konkona made a mark. This film was both commercially and critically successful and had Rahul Bose in the lead. Earlier when she was small, she had appeared in ‘Indira’. With the movie ‘Ek Je Ache Kanya’ ,Konkona made her debut in films. In this movie Konkona Sen Sharma had played a negative character and the movie starred Sabyasachi Chakravarty and Indrani Halder.

The other critically acclaimed film was ‘Titli’ directed by Rituparna Ghosh, which had Mithun Chakravarty and Aparna Sen in the main lead. Konkona’s performance in ‘Mr. and Mrs.’ Iyer’ as the Tamil housewife earned her lots of praise and she won her first award ‘National Film Award for Best Actress’. ‘Page 3’ (2005), where she played the role of a reporter and was directed by Madhur Bandhakar won her critica appreciation. For this movie Konkona Sen Sharma won the ‘Zee Cine Award Best Female Debut’. Her last year’s movie were ‘Life in a…Metro’ and ‘Aaja Nachle’. The former movie was a huge hit and Konkona received the ‘Filmfare Award’ for the ‘Best Supporting Actress’. Her other commendable film was ‘Omkara’ directed by Vishal Bharadwaj opposite Saif Ali Khan.

One of the three Khans to make it big in Bollywood in the 90s and also in the recent times, Salman Khan has been in the news for the wrong reasons. He is the eldest son of the famous scriptwriter of yester year Salim Khan. He began with his career in Bollywood movies with the film ‘Biwi Ho To Aisa’ in 1988, this was his debut movie where he played a supporting role. It was with ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’, which released in 1989, Salman Khan made his first commercial success and was recognized as promising actor. He even won the ‘Filmfare Best Male Debut Award’ for his first film.
