Manoj Bajpai is an Indian actor of great worth. He is better known for essaying offbeat and unconventional roles. Manoj was born in a small village in West Champaran in Bihar named Blewa. He has done his graduation from Ramjas College, Delhi University. Manoj started his acting career with the popular tele-serial, which was telecasted, on Doordarshan in the 90s. He is one of the most talented actors of Bollywood. Manoj Bajpai shot to fame with the movie ‘Satya’, which was directed by Ram Gopal Verma, his portrayal of the gangster Bhiku Matre was immaculate and he was immensely appreciated for his wonderful performance. This film fetched Manoj Bajpai many awards ‘Filmfare Best Actor- Critics Choice’ and ‘Star Screen Award Best Supporting Actor.

His most prominent films other than ‘Satya’ include ‘Shool’, ‘Zubieda’ which was directed by Shyam Benegal and Manoj Bajpai shared his screen spaces with actors like Rekha and Karisma Kapoor, ‘Aks’ where he appeared along with Amitabh Bachchan and Nandita Dass and many more. He is the winner of two prestigious National Awards in the best actor category for the film ‘Satya’ in the supporting actor category and a special jury award for the film ‘Pinjar’. He has played negative role in the films ‘Road’ which was directed by Rajat Mukherjee and ‘Aks’ directed by the renowned filmmaker Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra. Though both the films did not fare well at the box office, Manoj’s performance was well appreciated. His 2007 releases include ‘Dus Kahaniyaan’ , ‘Swamy’ and few more.
