Jugal Hansraj is one of the cutest looking actors of the Indian film industry. He was a popular child actor. It was in 1983 that Jugal appeared in ‘Masoom’, his innocent and hazel colored eyes took almost every audience sympathy and accolades. The film was directed Shekhar Kapoor, and had Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi in the lead role. The film also had two other child artists; one of them was actress Urmila Matondhkar. The film was about a nine year old boy played by Jugal who was refused to accept by his stepmother since he was born from an unfaithful relationship.
The film was based on Erich Segal’s bestseller ‘Man, Woman and Child’. The response of the film was very much positive and this gave Jugal the opportunity to act in many other films like ‘Karma’ and ‘Sultanat’ as a child artist. As a child he has done commercials too, like one for ‘Nutanmul’. In 1994, Jugal made his adult debut with the film ‘Aa Gale Lag Ja’ His performance in the movie ‘Papa Kehta Hai’ was well noticed in 2000, Jugal got the opportunity to work with the Yash Raj. The name of the film was ‘Mohabbatein’ and was directed by Aditya Chopra. The film was a debut film for five more newcomers. Jugal was paired opposite newcomer Kim Sharma, the film had Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead and the movie was a huge hit. He has turned director recently.
