Govinda

Govind Arun Ahuja or Govinda is an award-winning actor of the Indian film industry. Besides being an actor, Goinda is also a Member of Parliament of the Mumbai North Constituency of Maharastra in India. Govind has done as many as one-twenty films in Bollywood. Govinda was born on 21st December in the year 1963 and his first film was ‘Ilzaam’ which came in 1986 and was box office hit. Govinda is a much known dancer. Govinda claimed to fame with his films like ‘Shola Aur Shabnam’, ‘Aankhen’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Haseena Maan Jaayegi’ and many more. He is very popular for his dancing skills and his comic timing. Govinda is a commerce graduate from the Annasaheb Vartak College in Vasai, Maharashtra. Under David Dhawan’s direction, Govinda has done seventeen movies.

Govinda has given his audiences many fun filled hit films. The list of his successful comedy films is endless. He has shared his screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in the 1997 hit ‘Bade Miyaan, Chote Miyaan’. In the film ‘Shikhar’ where Govinda played the role of a negative character won him many accolades. After joining politics, Govinda had taken a break from films, but he had made his comeback with the comedy film ‘Bhagam Bhag’ directed by Priyadarshan. The film was hit of 2006. Govinda’s performance in the movie ‘Salaam-e-Isqh, A Tribute to Love’ was well appreciated, though it was a box office failure. His second release for 2007 was ‘Parnter’ directed by David Bhawan was huge hit of the year.
