Isha Deol – Indian Bollywood star

It was no surprise when Isha Deol the daughter of the legendary actor Dharmendra and Dream Girl Hema Malini chose to enter the world of glamour. Acting and cinema is in her blood and blessed with a star couple as her parents it was certainly easy for her to get a break in this highly competitive industry called Bollywood.

Isha, a fitness freak has graduated in Computer Science from Oxford University. She started of her career starring opposite to Aftab Shivdasani in “Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche”. Later she got national award for being a part of the film “LOC Kargil” .She was able to break her child like image in the movie “Dhoom’ where she reinvented herself as Indias latest pin up girl .

Even though she is lucky to have a Godfather in this industry, she has not been able to make a mark nor has her movies created much of a “DHOOM” in the box office. More than an image makeover what Isha certainly needs is poise , poignant, charisma and above all the ability to emote various kinds of emotions. In short she lacks the screen appeal of her parents. She needs to create her own space to stand out in the world of showbiz.

The bigger question is , Is it a boon or a bane to be the daughter of a star couple ? Although the entry into the world of glamour is made easier but the journey is still treacherous. She is a star surrounded not by controversies but by comparisons.

What Isha needs is a powerful script, which will showcase her histrionic talents? Otherwise she will fade into oblivion as just another star child who could never make it BIG.
