Bobby Deol

Vijay Singh Deol, popularly known as Bobby Deol is an actor who comes in Indian movies. The son of famous yesteryear actor Dharmendra was born on 27th January in 1967 in Mumbai. When Bobby was ten years old, he made his onscreen appearance in the movie ‘Dharam Veer’ as a young Dharmendra. The film was released in 1977. His elder brother Sunny Deol is also a famous Bollywood actor. Under his home banner ‘Vijeyta Films’, Bobby made his debut in the movie ‘Barsaat’ in 1995, the director of the movie was the famous Rajkumar Santoshi. The film was also the debut film of Twinkle Khanna, the elder daughter of popular film stars Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. The film won him ‘Filmfare Best Male Debut Award’ and was the sixth highest grosser in India in 1995. Bobby’s well known films are ‘Gupt : The Hidden Truth’ which was big hit and he starred along with Kajol and Manisha Koirala, ‘Soldier’, where he was paired opposite Priety Zinta, ‘Humraaz’ for which he received his first nomination for the ‘Filmfare Best Actor Award’ and few more.

He played a villain in the film ‘Shakalaka Boom Boom’ which sank without a trace. In 1999, Bobby appeared in ‘Dillagi’ for the first time with his elder brother Sunny Deol. The film was also the directorial debut of Sunny Deol. There are very few hit films of Bobby and ‘Ajnabee’ which was released in 2001 is one of them. In ‘Apne’ which came in 2007, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Dharmnedra has appeared together.
