Sonam kapoor – beautifully elegant !
The two things that come to mind when we talk of Sonam Kapoor is that she is beautifully elegant and she is immensely talented. Sonam Kapoor is the daughter of the famous actor of Bollywood Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor. Born on 9th June, 1985 in Chembur Bombay she recently debuted in Bollywood movies. She is the niece of the renowned film-maker and producer Bonny Kapoor and actor Sanjay Kapoor. Sonam has studied in Arya Vidya Mandir and then was enrolled in the United World College of South East Asia for doing her International Baccalaureate.
Sonam kapoor has graduated from University of Mumbai in Political Science. She is a trained classical and Latin dancer. Before she made into films, she has worked as an assistant under Sanjay Lila Banshali. She has assisted Bhansali during the making of the famous film ‘Black’. She has made her debut in 2007, in the movie ‘Saawaariya’ directed by the renowned film maker Sanjay Lila Bhansali. This movie also proved to the debut movie of Ranbir Kapoor, son of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor.
The film also starred Salman Khan and Rani Mukherjee. It was during the making of ‘Black’ that Sanjay chose Sonam kapoor for the film ‘Saawaariya’. For this movie Sonam had to shed her weight as she had gained lots during studying abroad. The movie ‘Saawaariya’ has earned her critical appreciation. Her latest films include ‘Delhi 6’ of Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra and one under the Yashraj banner opposite Sharukh Khan.
