This Bollywood beauty with brains, Lara Dutta, was born on 6th April, 1978 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. In 1981, her family had moved to Bangalore where she completed her schooling from St. Francis Xavier Girl’s High School. Lara Dutta has done her graduation in Economics from Bombay University at Bangalore. Her father was the Wing Commander and her mother is of British origin. In 1997, Lara won the Gladrags modeling competition, which won her the right to be the first representative at the 1997 Miss International pageant. In 2000 Lara Dutta became the second Indian after Sushmita Sen to win the crown of Miss Universe held at Cyprus.

This winning crown led Lara Dutta to get appointed as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador in 2001. This prestigious award gave her the opportunity to get offers from several Bollywood moviemakers. Her first on screen appearance was in the movie ‘Andaaz; in 2003 which also starred Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. The film became a super hit of the year and earned Lara Dutt her first award ever ‘Filmfare Best Female Debut Award’. She was appreciated for her role in the movie. After ‘Andaaz’ came a bucketful of other movies which include ‘Kaal’, ‘No Entry’, ‘Maasti’ and many others. Her movies of 2007 include ‘Partner’ which proved to be a huge hit, ‘Bhagam Bhag’ and ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’. Lara Dutta has a flair for writing and is well known for her good sense of humour. This famous actress has more to deliver which will surely make her career rise sky high.
